David Hyams is no stranger to death! He’s had a record number of heart stopping experiences both literally and figuratively. His doctors are always telling him that the next ‘near death experience’ he has, will be his last. A trance medium who has been heard to be controlled by half a dozen communicating spirit entities conversing together, and with his sitters, at some of his demonstrations, he is a highly modest and spiritual man.

His guide once managed to wake him up and told him to get everyone up and out of his block of flats as there was a gas leak. David couldn’t smell any gas, but did as he was told, feeling very foolish running round banging on doors in his pyjamas. But it turned out that there was a leak. The emergency services attended and everyone was suitably grateful to have been warned.

David felt prompted to send a letter to a man that he heard about who was languishing in an American prison. This led to more correspondence, and a spiritual friendship was born.

David has written regularly on spiritual matters and now there are quite a few prisoners who are developing their spirituality by meditation and reading about our way of life.

There is a scheme that David feels should be considered by all spiritual people that organises letters for people in prisons on death row.
