Neris Harding Offers His View On Mediums And Mediumship
A medium is someone who is a channel between the two worlds, the spirit world and the earth plane, by means of a thought process that is mind to mind. The spirit sends a thought message to the medium, and the message then enters into the medium’s brain, that is where things can be misinterpreted by the medium!
When someone starts to go along this road, they can find it very frustrating because their brain has never had to work in this way. This is why so many people, after a few weeks, pack it up.
I think the reason for this is because they do not understand the mechanics. If you think of the brain as a computer, you would understand why it is not working in the way you want it to. A computer can only give you the data that is put into it when you send or receive. For this reason I believe that you have to read many books in detail – and go and watch many mediums so the brain, your computer, can soak it up. Then after studying in this way, and reading many books on clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience and psychometry, the brain begins to register how it works. Because it is logged into the brain, when you tune into it, the brain automatically tunes itself in.
I always think that the spirit message come in on your ‘conscience’ level as well as ‘sub conscious’. It’s a bit like that time when you didn’t do something you should have or for instance when you scolded a child or an animal and you feel that you were a bit over the top when you scolded. That nagging thought that says you were a bit hard on who or whatever it was is a bit like a thought telling you off – your conscience operating…
I believe that no medium can copy another as we all work differently. It’s like DNA, it’s a personal thing that takes a long time to perfect, so you strive to be perfect. It’s like a tuning fork that a piano or other instrument needs to tune it to perfect pitch. It is hard work at times but worthwhile in the end. It takes years and in fact you are always trying to refine it – you never stop honing your mediumship. You should never take it for granted and think that you have cracked it. Never be complacent because without Spirit you can do nothing.
My own mentor used to have a saying; “Do you think it is you? What do you know?’
It took me a long time to understand that saying, but I have learnt by it and am still learning today…
